From Tattoo to Motorcycle: Creating One-of-a-Kind Custom Graphics

Aug 17, 2026 by Savvy Lesley

Some of our favorite projects start with a simple idea and turn into something completely unique. This recent motorcycle project was definitely one of those! Our customer came to us with a design that was especially meaningful to him: a cross from a tattoo he had recently gotten. He wanted to take that design and incorporate it into his motorcycle, but he also wanted us to get creative and build the rest of the look around it. Challenge accepted! Starting With Something Personal Instead of choosing a premade motorcycle decal or an off-the-shelf design, our customer wanted something that was truly his own. Using the cross from his tattoo as our starting point, our design team created a custom graphic package that would complement the cross while also fitting the style of the motorcycle. We incorporated bold red, orange, and yellow flames that flow throughout the bike, making the cross a focal point while tying the entire design together. The result is something you aren't going to see on another motorcycle because it was designed specifically for this customer and this bike. Designing Graphics for a Motorcycle Designing graphics for a motorcycle is a little different from designing graphics for a flat sign or even a standard vehicle. Motorcycles have curves, contours, hardware, separate body panels, and limited areas for graphics. A design might look great on a computer screen, but we also have to think about how it's going to look once it's actually installed. For this project, we designed the graphics to work with the shape and lines of the motorcycle rather than against them. The flames carry throughout different areas of the bike, including the front fairing, front fender, fuel tank, saddlebags, and rear storage area. From the front, the custom cross becomes the centerpiece, surrounded by flames that extend across the fairing and continue down the motorcycle. From the side, the flames add a bold pop of color against the glossy black finish. Every piece works together to create one complete look. It's More Than Just a Decal Projects like this are a great reminder that custom vinyl can be about much more than putting a logo on a vehicle. Sometimes it's about taking an idea that's personal to you and figuring out how to turn it into something completely custom. Maybe it's artwork you already have. Maybe it's a tattoo. Maybe it's a sketch you've had sitting around for years. Or maybe you just have an idea in your head and need someone to help bring it to life. That's where our design team comes in. We can take your inspiration and work with you to develop a design that fits your style, your vehicle, and the surface we're working with. Custom Motorcycle Decals & Vehicle Graphics in Fort Collins We absolutely love how this motorcycle turned out, but even more than that, we love the story behind it. Our customer came in with a tattoo and an idea. We were able to take that inspiration, create a custom design around it, produce the graphics, and bring that vision to life on his motorcycle. And that's exactly the kind of project we love doing. At Signarama Fort Collins, custom means custom. Whether you're looking for motorcycle decals, vehicle graphics, business lettering, custom vinyl, or something completely outside the box, we'd love to hear your idea. Have something in mind? Bring us your inspiration and let's see what we can create together.

Why Retractable Banner Stands Are Worth the Investment

Aug 6, 2026 by

Whether you're attending a trade show, hosting an event, welcoming customers into your office, or promoting a special offer, first impressions matter. One of the simplest and most effective ways to elevate your professional image is with a retractable banner stand. These portable displays are affordable, easy to use, and versatile enough for businesses of every size. If you've been considering adding one to your marketing toolkit, here's why a retractable banner stand is a smart investment. 1. They're Portable and Easy to Transport One of the biggest advantages of a retractable banner stand is its portability. The banner rolls neatly into its aluminum base and comes with a carrying case, making it easy to transport to trade shows, conferences, networking events, job fairs, or customer presentations. Because they're lightweight, one person can carry and set them up in just a few minutes. 2. Setup Takes Less Than a Minute Unlike pop-up displays or complicated exhibit systems, retractable banners are incredibly simple to assemble. Simply place the stand on the floor, pull the banner up, secure the support pole, and you're ready to go. That means less time setting up and more time connecting with potential customers. 3. They Create a Professional First Impression A professionally designed retractable banner instantly makes your business look more polished. Whether it's displayed in your lobby, at a conference booth, or beside a presentation, a banner stand reinforces your brand and helps customers quickly understand who you are and what you offer. 4. They're Perfect for More Than Trade Shows Many people think retractable banners are only for trade shows, but they can be used in a variety of settings, including: Trade shows and expos Conferences Job fairs Retail promotions Grand openings Open houses Corporate events School events Churches and nonprofits Office lobbies Sales presentations Because they're so versatile, many businesses use the same banner throughout the year for multiple events. 5. They're a Cost-Effective Marketing Tool Unlike digital advertisements that stop running when your budget runs out, a retractable banner stand can be used over and over again. With proper care, a quality banner stand can last for years, making it one of the most affordable marketing investments available. 6. They Help Your Business Stand Out Events can be crowded and competitive. A bold, professionally designed banner helps draw attention from across the room, making it easier for visitors to find your booth or display. Eye-catching graphics, strong branding, and a clear message can make all the difference. 7. They Work Well with Other Marketing Materials Retractable banners look even better when paired with: Branded table throws Brochure holders Promotional products Floor graphics Backdrop displays Literature racks Directional signage Together, these products create a cohesive, professional display that leaves a lasting impression. 8. They're Easy to Update As your business evolves, your marketing materials should too. Many retractable banner systems allow the graphic to be replaced, making it easy to refresh your messaging, showcase new products, or update your branding without purchasing an entirely new display. Tips for Designing an Effective Retractable Banner To get the most out of your banner stand, keep these design tips in mind: Use high-resolution artwork for crisp, professional printing. Include your logo prominently near the top. Stick to one clear message or headline. Limit the amount of text so it's easy to read from a distance. Choose bold colors that reflect your brand. Include your website, phone number, or a QR code so customers know how to contact you. A clean, simple design is often the most effective. Is a Retractable Banner Right for Your Business? If your business participates in events, welcomes visitors into your office, or wants an affordable way to promote products and services, a retractable banner stand is an excellent investment. Jul 7, 2026 by Savvy Lesley

There's nothing better than watching a blank hallway transform into a space that tells a story. We recently had the opportunity to install custom wall graphics at Colorado State University's Mary Ontiveros House, creating a vibrant environment that celebrates the university's history, community, and the spirit of the Rams. With bold colors, meaningful artwork, and the message "Rams Take Care of Rams," the hallway has been transformed into a welcoming space that reflects CSU's commitment to its students and community. We are proud to have partnered with CSU on another project that will inspire students, staff, and visitors for years to come. Thinking about transforming your office, school, or facility? We'd love to help bring your walls to life!

Restoring a Downtown Icon: Signarama Fort Collins Helps Bas Bleu Theatre Shine Again

May 21, 2026 by Savvy Lesley

Located in the heart of downtown Fort Collins, Bas Bleu Theatre has been a staple in the arts community for years. When strong winds took down their sign, we knew we wanted to step in and help get everything restored quickly and professionally. Our team repaired the sign structure, reworked the vinyl graphics, and rehung the sign so it could continue welcoming guests to performances and events. Seeing the finished sign back in place and looking refreshed was incredibly rewarding for our entire team. As a locally owned, women-owned business, supporting other local organizations and businesses means everything to us. We know how important visibility, presentation, and community support are, especially for beloved local institutions like Bas Bleu Theatre. Projects like this remind us why we love what we do. Whether it is helping a business recover after storm damage, creating brand new signage, or refreshing a longtime local landmark, we are proud to partner with businesses throughout Northern Colorado and help them continue to grow and succeed. Thank you to Bas Bleu Theatre for trusting us with such an important piece of your downtown presence. We encourage everyone to support local theatre and check out one of their upcoming performances!

Dual Community Entrance Monuments Completed for The Ridge at Harmony

Nov 20, 2025 by Savvy Walker

Dual Community Entrance Monuments Completed for The Ridge at Harmony At Signarama Fort Collins, we take great pride in helping communities establish their identity from the moment residents and visitors enter. Our recent project for The Ridge at Harmony included the installation of two custom-built entrance monuments, creating a cohesive and welcoming gateway that beautifully frames the entire community. Crafting Two Matching Monuments to Frame the Neighborhood This project involved designing, fabricating, and installing a pair of matching monument structures—one on each side of the community’s main entrance. Built entirely on-site, our team constructed the framework, secured the posts, aligned the beams, and installed the branded sign panels with precision. From the early-morning installation work captured in the photos to the final reveal, both monuments were crafted to mirror each other and create a unified, polished entrance. Together, they provide a strong visual boundary that frames the community and reinforces The Ridge at Harmony’s identity. A Complete and Welcoming Entrance The finished monuments deliver a clean, modern-rustic look that fits seamlessly within the surrounding neighborhood. Bold, readable lettering and high-contrast paneling ensure visibility from both directions, offering a professional and inviting first impression. We love taking on projects that elevate communities, and these dual monuments are a perfect example of how thoughtful design and skilled installation can transform an entrance into a true landmark. Let Us Frame Your Community Next Whether you’re an HOA, developer, or builder, our team specializes in monument signage that enhances curb appeal and sets the tone for your neighborhood. From design to installation, we handle it all. Contact Signarama Fort Collins today to start planning your next community entrance project!

Signarama Fort Collins Wins Women in Wide Format Award

Oct 30, 2025 by Savvy Walker

This October, the Printing United Expo in Orlando brought together leaders, innovators, and creatives from across the print industry. Among the highlights of this year’s event was the Women in Wide Format Awards, recognizing women who are making a lasting impact in print, signage, and visual communications. Savvy Walker and Kristi Jenkins-Correa, co-owners of Signarama Fort Collins, were honored among this year’s recipients. The Women in Wide Format Awards celebrate individuals who demonstrate leadership, craftsmanship, technical expertise, and a commitment to elevating both their teams and the broader industry. Savvy and Kristi were recognized for their focus on building a strong, community-centered sign company rooted in quality work, collaboration, and a positive workplace culture. At the Expo, they joined fellow award recipients for a presentation on the show floor, surrounded by industry peers, partners, and supporters. For Savvy and Kristi, the experience was both meaningful and energizing. It served as a moment to reflect on the journey that brought them here, as well as the dedication and hard work of the entire Signarama Fort Collins team. Their story as business partners began years before purchasing the Fort Collins shop in 2023. The two first worked together overseas in Morale, Welfare, and Recreation for the Department of Defense, where they developed a shared foundation in service, teamwork, and taking care of people. Those values continue to guide their leadership today. During the award experience, Savvy and Kristi expressed gratitude for their team, their customers, the Fort Collins business community, and their families and partners who continue to support the growth and vision of the company. They emphasize that this recognition is not about individual achievement, but reflects the strength and commitment of the entire organization. The Printing United Expo also offered valuable opportunities to explore new technology, connect with vendors, and bring back inspiration and ideas to support continued innovation at the shop. The team looks forward to applying what was learned and continuing to raise the standard of signage and service in Northern Colorado. This award marks an important milestone for Signarama Fort Collins and represents both a celebration of how far the company has come and the momentum driving it forward.

Celebrating an Incredible Partnership: Signarama & Animal Friends Alliance

Aug 13, 2025 by Savvy Walker

At Animal Friends Alliance, we believe in the power of community—and one of the most generous, impactful partnerships we’ve been honored to receive is with our friends at Signarama Fort Collins. So far this year, Signarama has donated over $10,000 worth of signage and print materials to support our lifesaving work at both our animal shelter and low-cost Community Pet Clinic. From eye-catching event banners to professional building signage and thoughtful educational materials, everything they’ve created for us has been flawlessly crafted, beautifully designed, and delivered with heart. As a local nonprofit organization, Animal Friends Alliance relies on the generosity of our community to fulfill our mission of providing shelter, medical care, and a second chance to thousands of homeless animals each year. In 2024 alone, their support has helped us serve hundreds of pets and their people—making it easier for community members to find our services, attend events, and learn more about how we can help their furry family members thrive. Signarama isn’t just a sign shop—they’re perfectionists with a purpose. Their team takes immense pride in the quality of every piece they produce, and it shows. Each project we’ve worked on together has been completed with the highest level of professionalism, detail, and care. Whether it’s a large-scale outdoor banner or small, custom-printed clinic materials, their work reflects a commitment to excellence that’s unmatched. But even more than their outstanding craftsmanship, it’s the people behind Signarama who make this partnership truly special. Owners Kristi and Savvy approach every project with kindness, integrity, and grace. They care deeply—not just about their work, but about their community. Their generosity has made a lasting impact on the animals we care for, our team, and every visitor who walks through our doors and sees the beautiful signage that helps tell our story. If you are looking for a signage and print partner that will not only meet your expectations but exceed them—Signarama Fort Collins is the place for you. Their expertise, creativity, and heartfelt commitment make them an invaluable part of our Alliance. Elegant Custom Dance Floor for an Aspen Wedding

Aug 11, 2025 by Savvy Walker

This past weekend, our team had the privilege of creating and installing a stunning custom dance floor for a wedding in beautiful Aspen, Colorado. Designed to be both elegant and personal, the floor featured the couple’s initials, J and L, framed by a delicate floral border in soft blue and neutral tones. The result? A sophisticated centerpiece that perfectly complemented the venue’s airy, refined atmosphere — and set the stage for an unforgettable night of celebration. The Design The floral border was designed to bring a timeless, romantic feel, while the monogram gave the piece a deeply personal touch. Every detail was carefully printed and aligned to ensure crisp lines and smooth color transitions, creating a flawless look from every angle. The Impact As the reception began, the dance floor transformed into the heart of the celebration. From the couple’s first dance to the last song of the night, it provided a picture-perfect backdrop for memories that will last a lifetime. We love helping our clients bring their vision to life, and this Aspen wedding was a perfect example of how a custom dance floor can elevate an entire event.

Why Your Reviews Matter (And Mean the World to Us)

May 21, 2025 by Savvy Walker

When Kristi and I took over Signarama Fort Collins, we knew we wanted to build something special — not just a sign shop, but a business rooted in quality, trust, and strong relationships with our community. That’s why we’re proud to say that since taking over the store, we haven’t received a single review less than 5 stars. Not one! Those reviews may seem like just a few words on a screen, but to us, they’re everything. Here’s why your reviews matter so much: 1. They Build Trust Before a customer picks up the phone or walks into our shop, they often check online to see what others are saying. Your honest feedback shows potential customers that they can trust us with their signs, wraps, decals, and more. Every review tells someone new, “This is a company you can count on.” 2. They Help Us Grow Reviews don’t just help us attract new customers — they also help us improve. Your kind words reinforce what we’re doing right, and your suggestions help us level up our service even more. 3. They Boost Local Support As a women-owned, locally operated business, we rely heavily on our community. Positive reviews help us stand out among national competitors, giving us the visibility and credibility we need to keep serving Fort Collins and beyond with top-quality, eco-friendly signage. 4. They Encourage Our Team Our entire team sees your reviews. When someone takes the time to shout out a great install or a smooth design process, it motivates us all to keep raising the bar. It means the world to know our hard work is making a difference. So thank you — truly — for every review you’ve left. Whether it’s on Google, Facebook, Yelp, or elsewhere, your voice helps shape the future of our business. If you’ve had a great experience with us and haven’t had a chance to leave a review yet, we’d love it if you took a moment to share your story. Every five-star review is a little high five that keeps us going strong. Let’s keep building bold, beautiful signs — and a reputation to match.
