How Soon Will My Sign Be Ready?

This is probably a favorite question from our clients, and I totally get it! By the time you decide you NEED a sign, you often need it YESTERDAY. Signage timelines vary a lot based on many factors. The simpler the product (yard sign, banners, decals), often the faster they move. Our “SignRabbit” team will get your quick turn products done FAST - sometimes even the same day! But most signage requires more time than a banner or yard sign. Here are the BIGGEST factors that slow the process. Work your way through these, and your signage will be done before you know it! IN A RUSH? Know at least a little about what you want. Take pictures of signage or graphics you like around town. Notice what resonates with you. Bring samples or images to us so we can quickly assess the timeframe to make something happen! Have design files ready. We often waste time with “bad” art files that cannot be easily enlarged or cannot be used on particular equipment. If you have logo files in various forms, save them for easy access! Design will SLOW YOU DOWN if you are unclear on your vision. Jump into ChaptGPT or other AI tools to brainstorm images. Google prompts that describe what you need and it will produce images of existing projects from, well, anywhere. For example, you can Google “store front, clothing shop, signage, high tech gadgets” and find a whole host of ideas when you choose “Images” at the top of Google search. Establish your time frame early! Be sure to let your sign company know right away when you need your product. Often they can guide you to the fasted products with the in-stock materials they have on hand. High value projects might need temporary signs. While many permanent signage solutions can be made very quickly – even in days. But for more complex, high-value projects, you might consider “coming soon” signage or less expensive options to start with when your permanent sign might be weeks away. Take permitting into account! For exterior building signs, most cities require a permit. Sometimes that permit process is a day or two, but in some historic or highly regulated areas, it can take many months! Ask your local sign company for guidance on what to plan for the permit process at your particular location. Your sign company WANTS to make your project move as quickly as possible.
