Make the most of your rear window.

One Way Vision is an innovative window graphic made from perforated self-adhesive vinyl film. It is great for completing a full or partial vehicle wrap design onto windows.

The tiny perforated (punched) holes allow visibility from the inside of your vehicle, while anyone viewing from the outside will see your window graphics. We digitally print your design in full color, then apply an optically-clear over laminate to protect your graphics from UV, water, dust, marks and scratches.

One way vision graphics maximize your brand’s visibility as you drive around, attracting attention as your advertising sits on a prominent position of your vehicle. Go one step further and create a fully wrapped vehicle for greater visual impact.

Perforated film also adds solar control and privacy as people outside can’t look in, but your visibility is clear as you look inside out.

How One-Way Vision Film Works on Vehicle Windows

One-way vision film is designed to display bright, eye-catching graphics on the outside of your vehicle while still allowing clear visibility from inside. Because the human eye naturally notices lighter, brighter colors over darker tones, the printed areas of the film become the focal point. One-way film contains a pattern of printed graphics along with unprinted perforations, tiny holes that make up roughly 50% of the material. These holes appear dark or nearly black because they contain no ink, helping the printed sections stand out even more. During the day, viewers on the outside are drawn to the printed image as it reflects more light than the see-through perforations, creating the appearance of a solid, full-color graphic. From inside the vehicle, however, those same perforations allow you to clearly view the outside world. The key to achieving this effect is a black backing that sits behind only the printed areas of the film. This backing hides the graphic from the inside without blocking the unprinted holes, ensuring excellent visibility and a professional result. With proper design and installation, one-way vision graphics from Signarama Fond du Lac deliver strong visual impact without compromising driver safety.

What You Should Know About Visibility and Longevity with One-Way Vision Film

While one-way vision graphics allow you to see outward through the perforations, visibility can be reduced in certain conditions, particularly when the film becomes wet, dusty, or dirty. These factors can temporarily obscure the perforations and make the graphic appear more solid from inside the vehicle. With regular cleaning and proper care, one-way vision film performs well and maintains its clarity. When professionally installed and maintained, most one-way vision graphics last for several years, providing long-term value and consistent on-the-road visibility for your brand.

What Should You Include on One-Way Vision Graphics for Your Vehicle?
One-way vision graphics allow for full digital coverage, giving you endless creative possibilities, especially on large windows. However, for the best results, simple and clear designs are recommended. Because rear-window graphics are often viewed quickly as you drive by, focusing on essential information such as your company name, logo, phone number, and website is ideal. Clean layouts and consistent color choices help ensure your message stands out and complements the look of your vehicle. It’s also important to note that some vehicles with steeply angled rear windows may not be suitable for one-way vision film.
