• Social media graphics
• Web graphics
• Detailed artwork
Important to Know:
• Raster images can become blurry when enlarged
• Higher resolution produces better print quality
• Recommended resolution: 150–300 DPI for print

DPI & IMAGE QUALITY
What is DPI?
DPI stands for Dots Per Inch and affects print sharpness.
Recommended DPI:
• 72 DPI = Web or digital use only
• 150–300 DPI = Recommended for print
• Large signs may require different resolutions depending on viewing distance
Important:
Increasing the size of a low-resolution image will not improve quality.
CMYK COLORS
PANTONE COLORS (PMS)
CMYK stands for:
• Cyan
• Magenta
• Yellow
• Black
CMYK is the standard color mode used for full-color printing.
Best Used For:
• Business cards
• Flyers & brochures
• Banners
• Posters
• Window graphics
• Photo prints
• General signage
Important to Know:
• Colors are created by combining inks
• Printed colors may vary slightly from screen colors
• Best for artwork with gradients, images, and multiple colors

Pantone Matching System (PMS)
uses pre-mixed inks for more precise color matching.

• Ideal for matching brand guidelines
