Changes happen quickly in business. A new tenant, a new concept, or a new direction can mean existing signage needs to change right along with it.
That was the case at Epicenter in Santa Rosa, where the former Victory House restaurant is transitioning to Red Eye Barbecue as Epicenter brings in a pitmaster to operate the restaurant.
For the Epicenter team, the signage objective was straightforward: replace the previous Victory House branding and make Red Eye Barbecue visible and consistent throughout the property.
As an ongoing signage partner for Epicenter, Signarama Santa Rosa was ready to help make that happen.
Epicenter is home to multiple entertainment, fitness, dining, and recreation businesses. That makes its monument signage particularly important.
Visitors arriving from different entrances need to be able to identify the businesses they're looking for before they ever step inside.
With Red Eye Barbecue replacing Victory House, the existing monument directories needed to reflect the change.
The project included updating two double-sided monument signs, one at each Epicenter entrance on Piner Road and Coffey Lane. The existing Victory House identification was removed and replaced with the new Red Eye Barbecue branding.
The completed signs now introduce the Red Eye Barbecue name alongside Epicenter's other destinations while maintaining the established directory system.
The project didn't stop at the monument signs.
Once guests make their way inside Epicenter, the restaurant itself also needed to clearly communicate the new identity.
Four doors leading into the restaurant previously displayed Victory House graphics. Our team removed the old vinyl and installed new Red Eye Barbecue graphics on each door.
The result creates a simple progression for visitors:
See Red Eye Barbecue on the monument sign. Find the restaurant. Recognize the same branding at the entrance.
That's an important part of effective signage, particularly within a large multi-use property. Individual signs shouldn't necessarily operate in isolation. Together, they can create a visual system that helps people identify a business and navigate toward it.
For this project, Epicenter supplied the Red Eye Barbecue artwork as properly scaled, production-ready vector files.
That made the production process especially straightforward.
Rather than recreating logos or interpreting brand elements, our team could focus on accurately producing the supplied artwork for the different applications and getting the new branding installed.
For the monument graphics, the work order specified 3M 40C vinyl with 3M 8508 gloss laminate, providing a finished graphic intended for the exterior application.
The monument graphics and restaurant door graphics were then installed on-site at Epicenter.
One advantage of a well-planned sign system is its ability to evolve.
Epicenter didn't need to replace its entire monument structures because one restaurant concept changed. Instead, the relevant graphics could be updated while the larger sign system remained intact.
That makes tenant and business identification signage especially useful for properties where businesses, services, or offerings may change over time.
It also demonstrates why consistency matters.
The roadside signs tell visitors that Red Eye Barbecue is at Epicenter. The door graphics confirm they've reached the right destination. Each piece has a relatively simple job, but together they make the transition from the previous restaurant identity much more complete.
Our favorite part of this project is less about a particular material or production technique and more about the relationship behind the work.
We've had the opportunity to help Epicenter with a variety of signage needs, and projects like this are part of what an ongoing signage partnership looks like.
When something changes, they know who to call.
Sometimes that means a large new signage project. Other times, it means updating existing signs because a business is changing names, a new tenant is arriving, or information needs to be replaced.
In this case, Epicenter needed to transition the property from Victory House to Red Eye Barbecue. They supplied clean, production-ready artwork, and our team handled the production and installation needed to put the new identity in place.
It's a straightforward project—and that's exactly how a good working relationship should make it feel.
A rebrand, new tenant, ownership change, or new business concept doesn't always mean starting your signage from scratch.
Existing monument signs, directories, windows, doors, and other identification signs can often be updated to reflect what's changing while maintaining consistency throughout the property.
Signarama Santa Rosa works with businesses and property managers throughout Santa Rosa and Sonoma County on everything from individual graphics to ongoing signage programs.
If something about your business is changing, we can help make sure your signs change with it.

Often, yes. Depending on how the existing sign is constructed and its condition, individual tenant panels or graphics may be updated without replacing the entire monument. The appropriate approach depends on the existing sign and the new branding requirements.
Consistent identification helps visitors connect roadside signage with the business they're trying to find. In this project, Red Eye Barbecue appears on Epicenter's monument directories and again at the restaurant entrance, helping carry the new identity through the property.
