Custom Facelit 3D Letters for Atelier Opal Dental in Arlington, VA | Indoor Dimensional Signage

Atelier Opal Dental, located at 2700 South Quincy Street, Suite 215, Arlington, VA 22206, wanted custom indoor facelit 3D letters that would complement the clinic’s refined off-white interior aesthetic while delivering the specific illuminated appearance they envisioned for their finished space. The client provided the initial design mockup, but the Pantone color reference was not available. Rather than making assumptions about the final finish, our team reviewed available paint options and provided the closest actual paint matches for the dimensional letters. This allowed the client to compare the finishes and select the option that best matched their desired off-white aesthetic. Lighting was another important part of the project. The client was very particular about how the finished letters would appear once illuminated, so we used our available reference data and samples to demonstrate how different lighting options would interact with the selected paint color on the face of the letters. After reviewing the options, the client selected the lighting configuration that best matched their intended look. Beyond the design and fabrication process, careful coordination was required to align the signage production and installation with the general contractor’s construction schedule. Our team coordinated the timeline so the installation could take place at the appropriate stage of the project, helping avoid unnecessary cutting or modification of newly finished drywall and allowing the electrical work associated with the illuminated letters to be completed smoothly. The finished facelit 3D letters provide Atelier Opal Dental with a custom interior sign that combines dimensional depth, carefully selected color, and integrated illumination while fitting naturally into the clinic’s overall design.
