Raster vs. Vector

Raster vs. Vector: Why It Matters for Your Signs

🖼️ Raster Images (JPEG, PNG, GIF)

• Made up of tiny pixels (small squares of color).
• Look great on screens but lose quality when enlarged.
• Common for photos, web graphics, and social media.
• If you zoom in or scale up, they become blurry or pixelated.

✒️ Vector Graphics (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG)

• Built from mathematical paths and shapes, not pixels.
• Can be scaled to any size without losing sharpness.
• Perfect for logos, text, and designs that need crisp edges.
• Industry standard for professional printing and signage.

Why We Require Vector Logos

For signs, banners, and vehicle graphics, clarity is everything. A logo that looks sharp on a business card should also look flawless on a 20-foot banner. Vector files ensure your brand stays consistent, readable, and professional - no matter the size.

Don’t Have a Vector File?

No problem! If your logo is only available as a raster image (like a JPEG or PNG), we can vectorize it for you. Our design team will carefully recreate your logo in vector format so it’s ready for high-quality printing and future projects.

👉 Tip: When working with designers, always ask for your logo in vector format. It’s the most versatile and professional way to keep your brand looking its best.
