A Summer of ADA Signage! Kearsley Community Schools

This summer at Signarama, we’ve been busy supporting local schools! We proudly completed a full-district order of ADA signs for Kearsley Community Schools, located in Genesee County. This district serves students from Flint, Burton, Beecher, Davison, Genesee, and Richfield Township. Over the summer, we designed and produced more than 500 signs for their six schools, ensuring they meet accessibility standards. They have a unique color system incorporate into their design, where signs coordinate with hallways in each school. What ADA signs are required in a school? Schools must have ADA-compliant signs for all permanent rooms, exits, restrooms, stairwells, and accessibility features. Common room signs may be required outside classrooms, in main offices, gymnasiums, storage rooms, and kitchens. Restroom signage must include corresponding symbols or pictures that match the text, such as Men’s, Women’s, or Unisex. To ensure compliance, these signs must feature raised characters or tactile text, along with braille. Can ADA signs incorporate our school colors and branding? Absolutely! At Signarama, we can create custom ADA signs that align with your school's visual identity. By using materials that match your school colors and printing the tactile elements accordingly, we can deliver a sign that reflects your brand. Interested in a unique design, like a wood texture? We can print any background image, allowing your final product to resemble a stylish wood panel instead of the standard black and white sign.
