At Signarama, we follow a structured approach that combines creativity, design, production, and installation. While the exact process may vary depending on the specific project or location, here's an overview of the typical steps involved: Consultation and Project Briefing Client Needs Assessment: The process begins with a consultation where a Signarama representative meets with the client to understand their specific needs. This includes discussing the type of sign, its purpose, location, size, budget, and any branding requirements. Site Survey (if necessary): For large or complex signs (like building signs or outdoor signage), a site survey may be conducted to assess the environment and ensure the sign will fit properly and comply with any local regulations. Design Phase Concept Development: Our designers at Signarama will work with the client to create a concept for the sign. This could include sketches, digital mock-ups, or a variety of design ideas based on the client’s brand, colors, fonts, and preferences. Approval Process: Once the design is finalized, it is presented to the client for approval. If any revisions are needed, the design is adjusted and resubmitted until the client is satisfied. Material Selection Choosing Materials: Based on the type of sign, the environment it will be in, and the client's budget, your project manager will select the appropriate materials. Options might include: Vinyl (for banners, vehicle wraps, and window graphics) Acrylic (for dimensional lettering, plaques, and indoor signs) Aluminum or PVC (for outdoor signs) Wood or metal (for more rustic or high-end signs) Durability & Weather Resistance: Considerations are made for how the sign will hold up in various environmental conditions (e.g., UV exposure, rain, wind). Production Printing and Cutting: Depending on the design, signs may be printed using digital printers, or materials may be cut using various methods such as laser cutting, CNC routing, or die-cutting. At Signarama, we maintain the best equipment in the industry including manufacturers like Canon, Epson and HP. For Printed Signs: Digital printers apply graphics, logos, and text to the chosen material. Special finishes (like gloss, matte, or textured) can also be applied for aesthetic purposes. For 3D Signs: If the sign includes raised elements or dimensional lettering, they are typically cut or formed from materials like foam, acrylic, or metal. Assembly: After all the elements are produced, they are assembled. This could involve attaching letters to backing panels, adding illumination for lighted signs, or adding other functional elements like mounting hardware. Quality Control Inspection: Each and every sign from Signarama is carefully inspected to ensure it meets quality standards. This includes checking for color accuracy, proper cutting, correct dimensions, and any defects in the material. Pre-installation Checks: For signs that require specific mounting systems or electrical components (like illuminated signs), pre-installation checks are conducted to ensure everything is functioning properly. Installation Site Preparation: The installation team prepares the site, which may involve measuring, clearing the area, or setting up support structures (like poles or frames). Sign Installation: The sign is mounted or installed according to the project specifications. This could involve attaching the sign to a wall, hanging it from a frame, or securing it to a post or base. Electrical Hook-Up (if applicable): For illuminated signs, (in most instances) the installation team will handle the final hookup and make sure the electrical components are working properly. This may require coordination with your local general contractor or local utilities for power hookups. Final Inspection and Client Walkthrough Inspection and Adjustments: Once the sign is installed, a final inspection is done to ensure it looks as expected and is functioning correctly. Client Walkthrough: The client with your Signarama representative “walks through” the finished sign or project to confirm that everything meets their expectations. If any adjustments or final touches are needed, these are handled at this stage. Maintenance and Support Ongoing Support: At Signarama, we offer maintenance and repair services for signs, especially if they are exposed to weather or wear and tear. This can include reprinting, updating graphics, or fixing electrical components. Key Considerations Throughout the Process: Permitting: In some cases, especially for large outdoor signs or signs that require electrical components, permits may need to be obtained from local government agencies before production or installation can begin. If contracted to do so, Signarama can sign on your behalf to obtain the permits required for your project. Compliance: Signs must meet local zoning codes, accessibility requirements, and safety standards. For example, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant signs may be required for certain businesses. The Signarama process is designed to be efficient, flexible, and collaborative, ensuring that our clients get high-quality, custom signage that meets their needs and enhances their branding.

Kevin is the brain behind all this madness! Many years ago, while earning his Bachelor's of Business degree from the University of Cincinnati, Kevin worked in a small sign shop. He started out doing graphics, wrapping cars, and helping with installations. His hard work paid off and he moved into management and lead installer. Each night he would come home and say to his wife Kim, "I think I can do this myself..." After a long decision process, in 2008 they opened their own store in Lawrenceburg, Indiana! Kevin was absolutely determined he would make this place a success! Starting in a very small space with 2 employees to where we are today, you can see the blood, sweat and tears that have been put into this operation! His goal has never been to be the biggest, but to be the best at what we do. Kevin is passionate about his team and works hard to create a family-like environment. In his "spare time" Kevin enjoys hanging out with his wife and 4 daughters, hunting, boating, listening to music and cheering for all his favorite sports teams!

Kim has been with the company since the doors opened in 2008! Kim and Kevin have put their heart and soul into making the business the place it is today. Kim does the 3 B's for the company: bookkeeping, billing, and banking. Kim handles all the accounts payable tasks and is a sounding board for Kevin and all his crazy ideas! When Kim isn't in the office, she spends her time managing the McCord household and their 4 active kids! Her hobbies include reading, walking and putting stuff in her Amazon cart that she won't ever buy.
