Illuminated Signs with Front Lighting, Back Lighting, and Edge Lighting
Jul 28, 2026 by Brian Marder
A new location for Urban Roast – hippest coffee shoppe in Florida. Other locations in Washington, DC and more to come.
Illuminated signs with front lighting, back lighting, and edge lighting. A new design is the beginning of their branding campaign, and we are so pleased to have been a part of it. This sign project is right in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach. Close to marinas, parks and all of the cultural activities this area is known for. Don’t forget to check out their private outdoor patio where you can enjoy cocktails or gourmet coffee in this charming oasis.

A local law firm asked Signarama North Palm Beach to create a meaningful sign to go over their reception desk in their front office. We created a bold and impressive impact logo that was mounted over a real stone wall that greets all their clients. The signage was a custom fabrication including dimensional letters and logo, and painted with their brand colors. We included a brushed gold metal frame. It was offset installed with LED backlighting.
If you want to make a solid impression on your customers when they enter your office, an impact logo is the way to go. At Signarama North Palm Beach, we will build it for you.

Several years ago, we replaced huge sign panels for our customer, MJ Truck Nation, on a pylon sign that they had owned for 10 years. After a Florida hurricane ripped through the state, the sign panels and all of the lamping had been blown away. We replaced the pan formed face panels as well as the lamping, which we upgraded to all LED, and they were so pleased with the new sign, that they have ordered additional new signs every other year since then. Last year, they expanded and acquired the property next door to their original building, and they called us to change the face on the existing lit cabinet on the front of the building, and design, permit, fabricate and install a fantastic new sign on the back of their building, which faces a major highway. The new sign is back lit reverse channel letters on a wireway. The wireway was designed to accommodate the corrugated aluminum structure of the building. We also refaced the pylon flex face sign that is also on the new property.

We worked with a local General Contractor, on a very special project in front of a new firehouse in Riviera Beach. Fire House 88 was designed as a working memorial to the fire fighters and rescue workers who lost their lives in the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Center. The plans included a Memorial Patio, centered by a flagpole, surrounded by 4 terrazzo covered masonry half walls. Each wall displayed 3 cast aluminum plaques, with all the names, ranks and assigned Fire Station of all the 343 Fire Fighters, Rescue Workers and Clergy who lost their lives that day.
It was a very emotional project for us, especially as we lost friends and neighbors in that attack. From the initial concept, research to make sure that we had all of the correct information, to the design of the plaques and the difficult installation, we were determined to deliver a living work of art through the use of the signage. We even installed an actual piece of recovered steel beams from the World Trade Center Towers on one area of the terrazzo walls. Our commitment to this project with quality materials and expert installation, exceeded our customers’ expectations. This 9-11 Memorial is visited everyday by local people and visitors to the area. The finished project is a visual remembrance of the courageous actions of many people on that fateful day, and the commitment of The Riviera Beach Fire Department to keep the memory alive. It was our honor and privilege to work on this project.

We helped rebrand our customer’s two offices with new dimensional letter impact logos. Since the offices had different décor, we used the same design, but in different colors to further promote the new “brand”.
We now have the capacity to fabricate these signs inhouse. It not only helps us control pricing, but greatly improves our product consistency and a much more timely delivery schedule.
The customer was thrilled, and now we are working on their exterior building signs.

Signarama North Palm Beach was honored to create the signage for a brand new fire house in Highland Beach, Florida.
The classic southern Florida architecture is crisp and clean, and the signs are a bold spot of color during the day and brilliant identification at night.
Backlit reverse channel letters, painted the brand “red”, to match fire house doors, make the signage pop and still stay compliant with the brand.
It was a pleasure to work on this project with the contractor, Kaufman Lynn , and the officials at the City of Highland Beach.
