Armed with an associate's degree in Illustration from the Art Institute of Boston, Michelle has developed a well-rounded career spanning multiple facets of design, from sales to design and installation. This diverse experience gives her a unique perspective on bringing clients' visions to life, ensuring every detail is meticulously managed from start to finish. Since moving from Boston 5 years ago, Michelle and her family happily call Cape Coral home. In addition to professional work, she is passionate about wood carving and painting, and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children, soaking up the sun whenever possible.

Before moving to Cape Coral in 1992, Jim studied Advertising at Temple University and launched his career as a graphic designer in newspaper and magazine publishing in Philadelphia. His transition into the signage industry 20 years ago was a natural progression, as the work draws upon many of the design principles he's honed. Jim's ability to craft compelling visuals serves customers well in creating impactful signage solutions.

Jimmy Reed has been an integral part of the company for nearly three years with his role being primarily focused on production and installation. His journey began after moving to Cape Coral with his family in 2017, following almost a decade of service in the Army. One of the things he loves most about his job is the variety. No two days are ever the same, which keeps things exciting and challenging. Outside of work, he has a passion for collecting autographed vinyl records and seizes any opportunity he can to attend live performances.

As a seasoned professional with over 20 years of expertise in the signage industry, Giancarlo Lavini combines a solid educational foundation with a wealth of practical experience. He holds an Associate's degree in Engineering Design and a Bachelor's degree in Interactive Media Design, equipping him with a unique perspective on both the technical and creative aspects of signage. Throughout his career, he has developed a deep understanding of the industry, contributing to a variety of successful projects that enhance visibility and engagement for businesses. His passion for innovative design and effective communication has made him a valuable asset in creating impactful signage solutions. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is an avid hockey enthusiast and loves to travel. He draws inspiration from his experiences to fuel his creativity in design. Through his dedication and diverse interests, he continues to leave a remarkable impression on the signage landscape.

After spending 13 years at a comfortable and secure job in healthcare, Mary Hoffman took a leap of faith and shifted her sights onto a new and exciting career path. That leap landed her in a completely different industry - a shift she was eager to embrace! She holds degrees in Marketing and Communication Studies and with these, plans to increase brand awareness, create reputable connections with clients, and highlight the significant and impressive scope of work done by the Signarama Cape Coral team. Although she's based in Wisconsin, she looks forward to her time spent in Cape Coral; she believes in the importance of creating and nurturing community bonds while promoting trust and loyalty with local residents and businesses.

Originally from Mexico, Alan Alvarez has always had a passion for creativity—from drawing as a kid to designing for real-world applications. While still in high school, he pursued dual enrollment and studied graphic design at Cape Coral Technical College, where he also interned with Signarama. That internship turned into a career. Today, Alan brings fresh ideas and energy to both the design and production sides of the business. He loves seeing his designs come to life and is always eager to learn something new. Whether it's exploring the latest in sign-making technology or expanding his creative skill set, Alan believes in staying curious and never limiting himself to just one path. Outside of work, Alan channels his creativity into barbering and designing custom shirts—always keeping his hands (and imagination) busy.

Laina recently relocated from Wisconsin to Florida to join the family-owned business at Signarama. As a key part of our front desk and production team, she supports both customer service and the creation of print and promotional products. Her interest in design, marketing, and customer service began in high school during an Intro to Communications course—her favorite class—which sparked a lasting passion for the industry. Outside of work, Laina runs an online curated clothing shop and enjoys creating custom acrylic nails, combining her creative flair with an entrepreneurial spirit. She’s excited to be part of a team that blends family values with professional growth.
