Behind the Glow: A Custom Backlit Angel That Shines with Craftsmanship

That was the case with this custom backlit angel we recently created and installed for Elim Park in Cheshire, CT who wanted something meaningful, eye-catching, and beautifully finished. This angel was precisely routed from a sheet of ¾” PVC, with careful grooves carved into the back to conceal LED strip lighting. The result? A soft, glowing halo of light that gives the piece dimension and depth when mounted on the wall. To elevate the look even further, we direct-printed the front of the angel in multiple layers, building up subtle textures and visual detail that bring the design to life. The effect is both elegant and modern—perfect for social media photos or as a permanent focal point in any space. And while the angel appears to float against the brick wall, it's securely fastened with a hidden French cleat system that makes for a clean, seamless installation with no visible hardware.
