Bringing the Take on the South Podcast Studio to Life with Custom Signage
Jun 22, 2026 by Signarama Columbia
Client: Take on the South Podcast
The Take on the South podcast is hosted at the University of South Carolina by Dr. Mark Smith and Dr. Emily Ruth Allen in the McCausland College of Arts & Sciences. This podcast invites listeners to explore the southern region of the United States through both a historical lens and a modern perspective—made possible through thoughtful conversations with guest speakers who study the region, write about it, and teach about it. Each episode brings depth, context, and fresh insight, highlighting the stories, culture, and conversations that continue to shape the southern United States today.
To match the energy and credibility of the podcast, Dr. Smith recently reached out to our team at Signarama Columbia to discuss ideas for strengthening the brand presence of their recording space. We focused on creating a backdrop that feels intentional on-camera, supports the podcast’s identity, and helps each recording session look polished and professional from the start.
Our team transformed the room with a bold large door decal that easily identifies the space, eye-catching posters with custom QR codes to a Linktree for USC's Institute for Southern Studies, and a custom flex LED neon sign featuring their logo as a bright, central focal point. The result is a recording space with standout visual branding—clean, contemporary, and unmistakably “Take on the South”—so guests and viewers alike get the message right away: this is where compelling regional stories come to life.
