Anderson SC Park Monument

This monument sign for Cater’s Lake in Anderson, SC was designed and fabricated to complement the natural setting of the park while providing durable, long-term identification for the space. The cabinet is constructed from CorTen weathering steel, selected for its distinctive oxidized patina and long-term resistance to corrosion. CorTen forms a stable rust-like protective layer that eliminates the need for paint while developing a rich, natural finish that blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. Dimensional lettering is precision-cut and mounted to the CorTen panel to create strong contrast and legibility against the weathered steel surface. The cabinet is mounted to a stacked natural stone monument base, providing structural stability and reinforcing the park’s organic design aesthetic.
