“A couple of our friends have questioned our sanity, at our age, to be grandparents starting a new business,” explained Larry, who will serve as outside representative at Front Range Signarama, a shop that creates all kinds of custom signage, such as banners, decals and digital displays for businesses. But like many Colorado residents, the pair doesn't see themselves slowing down anytime soon.
“We’re not ready to sit out on the deck and watch the golf balls go by,” he said. Before starting the business, president Barbara Godwin was an award-winning furniture sales associate for a major retailer. She is excited to apply her 21 years of outstanding customer service experience to helping clients create beautiful, custom signs that will increase their customer base. “We’re not just selling signs, we’re consulting with the business owner to come up with the best solutions for their needs,”
she said, adding that the company will also produce signage for events like weddings and graduations.
Husband Larry spent decades in the music business as a Steinway and Yamaha dealer before entering the sign industry several years ago. He has designed work for businesses all over the region, including casinos, hotels, restaurants and real estate companies, with significant experience
creating outdoor LED signs — an area in which Front Range Signarama plans to excel.
Located just a couple of blocks from U.S. 36 opposite the former Westminster Mall in the Solaire Shoppes, Front Range Signarama opens March 1 and is poised to service customers up and down the U.S. 36 corridor, which includes the towns of Arvada, Westminster, Broomfield, Superior,
Lafayette and Boulder. “When it comes to signs, if you can think it, we will design and build it,” said Larry.
