Okemos, Mich. (October 18, 2012) – SIGNARAMA, the world’s largest sign franchise, announces local resident Dale Kohlsmith is the owner of the Lansing East store at 2189 W. Grand River Ave.

Before becoming a SIGNARAMA franchisee, Kohlsmith worked for 15 years as a director of training for Numatics, Inc., two years as owner and managing training director of Northcoast Pneumatic Training, and three years as design faculty with Bowling Green State University's College of Technology and the Electric Vehicle Institute. He is also the owner of Maple Leaf Farm American Saddlebreds, and has 21 years of professional photography and design experience as owner of SergKohl Graphics.

"With recent changes in the economy and more specifically the industrial automation arena, I found myself searching for new challenges,” said Kohlsmith. “After 15 years as director of training for a large global corporation, and several years of running small side-line businesses, I decided the best new opportunities might be in starting a new business. Following the old adage of wanting to be ‘in business for myself, but not by myself,’ I started investigating franchises and SIGNARAMA really proved to be the best fit.”

SIGNARAMA Lansing East is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. They will be hosting an open house on October 24, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will be celebrating their official grand opening and ribbon cutting with the local Chambers of Commerce. Seasonal snacks and beverages for lunch will be provided, as well as free pie, and businesses will have a chance to win a door prize.
