As part of the new building unveiling, Clemson commissioned students to create new artwork. However, the building was going to be ready nine months before the artwork was ready to install.

So Clemson asked Signarama Anderson to create some signs filled with scientific and artistic imagery, such as paintings by Rembrandt, Edvard Munch, and Van Gogh. Some of the signs were used as wall graphics, while others are 3-D question marks serving as a sort of flattened sculpture. They're just placeholders for where the art will ultimately be placed, but we're proud to see them sitting in the Clemson life sciences building.

Signarama often works closely with artists, helping recreate their work for display, and in some cases, even providing the artwork itself. Fellow franchisee Kevin Higa of Signarama Santa Monica in California has worked closely with a lot of artists in the past. They often turn to their laser cutter to cut acrylic for some projects. Other times, they will cut ABS plastic stencil material with their laser cutter — they once cut stencils in the shape of a Sanskrit mandala. And companies have asked them to cut their logos with stencil material, which they'll use to spray paint on grass or other temporary surfaces. Signarama Evansville also does a lot of personalization and engraving with their own laser cutter, as well as their CNC router.
