Back when the store first opened, Sheldon brought in his wife to help out with the day-to-day operations — many Signarama stores are family businesses, usually with the husband and wife working together.

These days, Sheldon oversees the production and sales operations, and has an excellent production staff in place. With their capabilities and attention to detail, Signarama Las Vegas has found a useful niche: the construction and renovation business.

When Signarama Las Vegas opened, there was a coincidental push for new construction and renovation within the Las Vegas area. Signarama Las Vegas started working with the different contractors, working on a variety of construction signs, including dust control signs in the desert (signs that tell people who to call if too much dust is kicked up during construction).

In fact, this business became so strong, it grew into 60% of the company's total business. Unfortunately, when the recession hit in 2008, Signarama Las Vegas took a hit as well. So they've worked on diversifying, and have rebounded nicely, as have many other businesses in the area.

Sheldon attributes a lot of their growth to having the latest sign making equipment available, so they're able to produce anything a customer needs, whether it's a pylon sign, construction sign, or even a lighted monument sign.
